Connacht Cup Semi-Final Weekend

It is a big weekend for the club’s U-12 and U-14 sides as they host two Connacht Cup semi-final games at Fahy’s Field tomorrow afternoon (Saturday). 

The club’s U-12 team host Mayo club, Castlebar Celtic, in their provincial semi-final at Fahy’s Field with a 2 pm kick-off tomorrow afternoon (Saturday). Eric Connolly and Owen Shaughnessy’s side will be hoping to continue their unbeaten season and advance to the provincial final.

The club’s U-14 team will host local rivals Maree/Oranmore in their Connacht Cup last four tie at Fahy’s Field with an early kick-off time of 12.30 pm. Coley Kelly and Pa O’Connell will also be looking to continue their unbeaten season and advance to a provincial final. 

U-12 Connacht Cup (Semi-Final)

Mervue Utd 4-1 Castlebar Celtic, 2 pm

Liam Melody, Aaron Dossen, Baba Adeeko and Dylan Traynor with the goals.

U-14 Connacht Cup (Semi-Final)

Mervue Utd 1-0 Maree/Oranmore, 12.30 pm

Mark O'Brien scored the only goal of the game after 9 minutes.
