SFAI Irish Cup: Well done to our Under 14 team who won away in Wexford to reach the last 8 of the Irish Cup where they’ll face an away trip to Kilorglin from Kerry. A great result for Coley Kelly and Pa Connell’s team against a strong North End Utd team.

Also, well done to Eric Connolly and Owen Shaughnessy and the Under 12 team who beat Carrick Utd from Waterford last Saturday in Mervue to reach the last 8 in Ireland, they now face Crumlin Utd away on 21st March.

Disappointment though for our Under 18 team who lost to Bohemians last weekend in Dublin.

Irish Call Up: Everyone at Mervue is delighted for Yousef Mahdy who was called into Paul Osam’s Ireland Under 18 squad for games in Wales. Yousef is a regular in our Under 19 team. His Mervue team mate Peter Walsh has also being called up for their warm-up game before they depart for Wales, other Mervue players Eoghan Kelly and Eoin Curry have been put on standby for the squad.

Aaron Connolly represented Ireland Under 15's in two games against Scotland in January. Aaron started the first game and came on in the second game, good reports back as usual from the Irish camp about Aaron’s performance. Ronan Manning was on standby for these games and is pushing for inclusion too.
