Club Under 8 Blitz Tournament

Mervue Utd will host an Under 8's Blitz tournament, sponsored by Leo Walsh Pharmacy Eyre Square Centre, this Saturday at Fahy's Field.
Nine clubs will take part in the blitz, with eight Galway clubs and Shannonside Hibs from Clare, competing in Cup and Shield competitions.
The blitz will start on Saturday morning at 10 am with 17 teams taking part in both the cup and shield competitions.
Registration for the club's will be at the clubhouse from 9.15 am and each team will receive a copy of their fixtures for the day upon registering.
The blitz will be played on four grass pitches set up on the main pitch at Fahy's Field to make for excellent viewing for parents and supporters of the kids.
The finals are timed for 1.30 pm for the Shield Competition and 1.45 pm for the Cup Competition. Times may alter depending due to changes with games.
The club shop will be open on Saturday to provide tea, coffee, minerals and snacks to keep everyone refreshed.
Honours
Cup Competition - Winning team will receive Cup and Players Plaques, Runners Up receive medals.
Shield Competition - Winning team receives Shield and Players Plaques, Runners Up receive medals.
Every child who plays on the day and did not make a final will receive a participating medal.
