Galway Hibs B 0-4 Mervue Utd A (FAI Junior Cup 2nd Round)

The club's Junior A team advanced into round three of the FAI Junior Cup aftera 4-0 win over Galway Hibernians B team at Bohermore last Saturday afternoon.

In a game were they were expected to see off the home challenge they were made work hard all the way by the host team who were looking to cause a major upset which in fairness never looked on the cards.

In the end a double strike from Barry Moran along with goals from defenders Aaron Finnerty and Keith McHugh were enough to see Ger McGrath's side advance to round three of the national cup.
