The Junior A team captured a first Brod Trill Premier Division league title in five years as they collected the three points required following a hard earned 1-0 win over third placed West Utd at O'Connor Park on Thursday night.

Having finished runners up for the past couple of seasons, and losing out in a play-off with Athenry last season, they made no mistake this season as they claimed the league title with a game to play after Thursday night's narrow win.

It took a late goal from Barry Moran to ease the nerves after the home side defended well throughout and a number of near misses and good saves before Moran finally broke the deadlock after a good passing move set him up to finally beat Aaron Connolly.

Congratulations to Gareth O'Gorman, Noel McDonnell, Ray McDonnell and the Junior A squad on securing the Western Hygiene Brod Trill Premier Division Title.
